How the program works:

Senior Corps/RSVP Career Mentoring program is designed to provide career mentors, and educational activities to encourage students to participate in educational planning for their future career.

A mentor is a more experienced or older person who acts as a role model, compatriot, challenger, guide or cheerleader

By providing on-line career mentors, students gain insight into and experience of the workforce direct from the source

Students learn how to use their career studies and mentoring experience to progress towards their career goals

Through the on-line mentoring program students: will read biographies of volunteer career mentors in a variety of careers on-line. Communicate Via secured e-mail to ask specific job related and educational questions of the mentor. Arrange for a work tour or a classroom visit. Mentors will have the ability to communicate with all students that e-mail after e-mails are reviewed by the school career counselor or principal.
