Task 4:
Write A Letter Explaining Your Future Career Plans
Now that you have spent many days exploring careers that seem
to fit your interest and personality, it is time to write the
high school counselor and/or advisor a letter explaining your
hopes and dreams for the future.
This letter should indicate:
- what career focus you have choose and why
- what classes you would like to take during high school and
how the courses you have suggested would aid you in preparing
for your future
Remember this letter will be used to help the counselor and/or
advisor plan your schedule for the next four years!
When you have completed your letter, paper clip the letter
to the outside of your career folder and turn it is into the
counselor and/or advisor for evaluation. He or she will then
map you out a "tentative" plan for your high school
classes.
